Description

(AlphaR, betaR)-beta-(2,4-Difluorophenyl)-beta-hydroxy-alpha-methyl-1H-1,2,4-triazole-1-butanethioamide is a synthetic ancillary that inhibits the enzyme cox-2. It has been shown to have antiinflammatory activity in animal models of inflammatory diseases such as hepatitis. This compound also has hydroxyl group and fluoroquinolone resistance properties. (AlphaR, betaR)-beta-(2,4-Difluorophenyl)-beta-hydroxy-alpha-methyl-1H-1,2,4--triazole 1 butanethioamide is not active against intracellular targets and cannot be used for the treatment of viral infections. The molecular modeling of this molecule has been done using picolinic acid as a template and Friedel Crafts reaction.
