Product Information
AGI 5198 is a potential biomarker that may be used to measure the microenvironment in glioma patients. It has been shown to have anti-tumor effects on chondrosarcoma cells, which may be due to its ability to inhibit the production of 2-hydroxyglutarate (2HG). AGI 5198 has also been shown to have anti-cancer effects in animal models and human tumor xenografts. This compound inhibits cancer cell proliferation by reducing reactive oxygen species and increasing mitochondrial membrane potential, which leads to increased sensitivity to radiation therapy. AGI 5198 has also been shown to increase pluripotent cells and decrease the production of 2HG in hCT-116 cells.
