- H-Arg-Trp-Oh Hydrochloride Salt
H-Arg-Trp-OH hydrochloride salt is a peptidomimetic that has been synthesised to mimic the antimicrobial peptides. It has been shown to have haemodynamic effects and causes lysis of cells in culture. This compound also reduces the growth of P. aeruginosa, an important pathogen in cystic fibrosis patients. H-Arg-Trp-OH hydrochloride salt has been shown to be effective against a wide range of Gram positive and negative bacteria, including methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA).
