Product Information
H-Asn-Val-OH is a cyclic peptide that contains the amino acid sequence Asn-Val-OH. It has been shown to be a growth factor for human cells in vitro assays. H-Asn-Val-OH binds to the receptor of a protein called death protein, which causes cell death by activating the release of cytochrome C from mitochondria. This leads to an increase in reactive oxygen species and activation of caspase 3, an enzyme that mediates apoptosis. H-Asn-Val-OH also has antiviral properties, as it inhibits the replication of influenza A virus and HIV viruses in vitro by binding to their respective receptors. H-Asn-Val-OH can also inhibit microbial infections by inhibiting protein synthesis in bacteria and fungi.
