Description

H-Ala-His-Lys-OH acetate salt is a copper complex that has been shown to have antioxidant properties in vitro. It has been studied for use as an analog of the vitamin C, which is a cofactor for collagen synthesis and follicular keratinization. Copper complexes with H-Ala-His-Lys-OH acetate salt have been shown to inhibit the formation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and to stimulate collagen production by human dermal fibroblasts in vitro. This compound also stimulates the growth of human skin cells in vitro, which may be due to its ability to induce fibroblast proliferation.
