Description

N-(2-Amino-1-methylethyl)-N,N-dimethylamine (DMDA) is a chemical compound that has been used as a polymerization inhibitor. It is soluble in water. DMDA is stable at ambient temperatures and can be stored for long periods of time without decomposition. DMDA has been shown to be an effective coating for metal substrates, with good adhesion and chemical resistance. This compound contains a hydroxyl group (-OH), a nitrogen atom (-NH), and two methyl groups (-CH3). The molecule also contains an aromatic hydrocarbon ring, which makes it an aromatic amine. DMDA belongs to the c1-8 alkyl group.
