Product Information
N-(4-Acetylphenyl)-4-fluorobenzamide (NAPFE) is a potent inhibitor of soluble epoxide hydrolase (sEH). The sEH is an enzyme that catalyzes the conversion of soluble to insoluble epoxides. NAPFE inhibits the formation of reactive oxygen species and inflammation, as well as preventing cardiovascular diseases. It also has a high bioavailability, which may be due to its ability to inhibit the enzyme that metabolizes it.
NAPFE binds to the active site of sEH with high affinity and has shown potent inhibition in vitro. It shows good oral absorption and low plasma protein binding, which may be due to its ability to inhibit the enzyme that metabolizes it.
