Product Information

Name:
N-[2-Amino-1-(5-methyl-2-furyl)ethyl]-N,N-dimethylamine
Synonyms:
  • 1,2-ethanediamine, N1
  • N1
Description:

Tetroxide is an additive with a strong acidic property that can be used to stabilize polysulfides in polysulfide-based elastomers. The acidity of tetroxide is due to the presence of the carboxyl group, which can react with a covalent bond, for example in polysulfides. Tetroxide is also used as a raw material for the production of nanofibers. The diameter and average particle size of these fibers are determined by the reaction conditions during synthesis. Tetroxide has also been shown to have an effect on ring-opening polymerization reactions and stabilizes macropores in thermoplastic composites. It can be used as a binder and crosslinker in various types of thermoplastics.
