Product Information
- 2-Propenoic acid, 3-(3-aminophenyl)-, (2E)-
(2E)-3-(3-Aminophenyl)acrylic acid is a diazonium salt that is used in the preparation of 3-nitrobenzaldehyde and other diazo compounds. It can be prepared by the reaction of nitrous acid with aniline, followed by hydrolysis and subsequent sulfonylation. The sequence of reactions is shown below:
It has been reported that (2E)-3-(3-aminophenyl)acrylic acid can be used to prepare cinnamic acids by condensation with methyl esters. It has also been found that belinostat, a DNA topoisomerase I inhibitor, can be synthesized from this compound.
