- Pyrrolidin-2-one, 1-(4-aminophenyl)-
1-(4-Aminophenyl)pyrrolidin-2-one (APAP) is a hematopoietic drug that binds to the water molecule and interacts with glutathione. It also inhibits prostaglandin synthesis by binding to the prostaglandin D2 receptor, which is found in many tissues. APAP has been shown to have an affinity for phosphorus pentoxide, a molecule that is involved in several biochemical processes including DNA repair and cell signaling. The molecular interactions of APAP are not yet fully understood, but it has been shown to have some pesticide-like properties.
