Description:

Nepafenac is an ophthalmic drug that belongs to the class of anilines. It is a prodrug that undergoes modification by chlorinating agents to form a cyclized product. Nepafenac has been shown to be effective in preventing and relieving pain, inflammation, and visual disturbances caused by various eye diseases. Nepafenac is applied topically (as eye drops) to reduce the discomfort associated with certain conditions of the eyes, such as dry eye syndrome, corneal erosion, iritis and keratitis.
