It has been shown to suppress appetite and body weight in animal models. 1AMAP acts as an antagonist of the neuropeptide Y receptor, which is found on the hypothalamus and regulates energy homeostasis. 1AMAP’s pharmacokinetic profile has been characterized in both chronic oral administration and intravenous studies.
