[4-(Acetylamino)phenoxy]acetic acid (AAAPA) is a fluorescent probe that has been shown to be expressed in humans. Fluorescence techniques have been used to study the parameters of AAAPA, including its methylester and intermolecular hydrogen bonding. The fluorescence of AAAPA is quenched by acetonitrile, which can be used as a solvent for this molecule. In addition, hydrogen bond-related interactions between AAAPA and other molecules can be studied using fluorescence techniques.
