Description:

3-Aminohexanoic acid hydrochloride is a fluoroalkyl monoclonal antibody that has been shown to be useful for the detection of tumor tissue in mice. 3-Aminohexanoic acid hydrochloride binds to the Fc receptor on macrophages and activates the complement system, which results in lysis of tumor cells. The monoclonal antibody also inhibits lipase activity and fibrinogen synthesis. 3-Aminohexanoic acid hydrochloride is a racemic mixture of two enantiomers, with one being more active than the other. Preparative methods have been described for separating these two enantiomers.
