Description

6-Amino-1,3-dihydro-2H-indol-2-one hydrochloride (6AAD) is a linker molecule that has been shown to potentiate the effect of cftr. It has also been shown to have significant cytotoxicity in vitro and in vivo. 6AAD is a fluorescent compound with a photophysical profile that includes an emission maximum at 576 nm. The fluorescence emission of this compound was found to be sensitive to pH and polarization, which can be used for its detection. The pharmacokinetic properties of 6AAD are not known.
