4'-(Acetyloxy)biphenyl-4-carboxylic acid is an orthorhombic, fibrillar, and polymorphous solid that can be obtained in two different crystalline forms. This compound has a transition point at about 400°C and undergoes a protrusions transition from one form to the other. The morphologies of this compound are monomeric, lamellar, and crystal growth. This compound has been studied by microscopy using electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction. Electron microscopy provides information on the morphology of the compound while X-ray diffraction reveals its crystal structure. The endothermic nature of 4'-(Acetyloxy)biphenyl-4-carboxylic acid was observed when it was heated to its melting point in vacuum at low temperature.
