Description:

1-(5-Amino-3-methyl-1H-pyrazol-4-yl)ethanone is a pyrazole derivative with a pyrazole ring. It is soluble in chloroform, ethanol, and ethyl acetate. This compound has been shown to have a role as a ligand for metal ions. 1-(5-Amino-3-methyl-1H-pyrazol-4-yl)ethanone binds to the metal ion by hydrogen bonding and coordinates in a trigonal geometry. The tautomers of this compound are the enol form and the keto form. The reaction system that produces this compound is triethyl orthoformate with copper (II) chloride and ammonium acetate as catalysts.
