Product Information
4-(Aminomethyl)tetrahydro-2H-pyran-4-ol hydrochloride (4-AMT) is a hydroxylated tetrahydropyran derivative. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of human liver and lung cancer cells in vitro, and is also effective at inhibiting the growth of a xenograft tumor in rats. 4-AMT has potent antiangiogenic effects, which may be due to its ability to inhibit the production of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF). This drug also inhibits mitochondrial membrane potential and induces apoptosis by decreasing the expression of pro-survival proteins.
