Description:

4-Aminobenzene-1,3-diol hydrochloride is a white powder that is soluble in water. It has been used as a reagent for the determination of amines, oxidation products, and nitrogen atoms. This compound has also been shown to be an efficient oxidant that can be used in the synthesis of polymers conjugated with diazonium salts. The oxidation products from 4-aminobenzene-1,3-diol hydrochloride are chlorine and hyaluronic acid. The molecular weight of 4-aminobenzene-1,3-diol hydrochloride is 162.4 g/mol and it has a density of 1.06 g/cm^3 at 20°C. The melting point ranges from 158°C - 167°C when measured in different solvents.
