Description:

(2S,4S)-4-Aminopyrrolidine-2-carboxylic acid is a tetrapeptide that is naturally present in the body. It has been shown to bind to the phenothiazine receptor with high affinity and selectivity, and can be used as a molecular probe for mapping of the phenothiazine binding site on the GABA receptor. (2S,4S)-4-Aminopyrrolidine-2-carboxylic acid has also shown affinity for opioid receptors. This compound interacts with amide groups in protein structures and has been shown to enhance their conformational properties.
