3-Amino-6-(phenylthio)pyridazine is a heterocyclic compound that is a member of the pyridine family. 3-Amino-6-(phenylthio)pyridazine has been shown to have antiviral and antitumor activities, as well as being an antithrombotic agent. This chemical also has herbicidal properties due to its ability to inhibit plant growth by inhibiting photosynthesis. 3-Amino-6-(phenylthio)pyridazine was first synthesized in 1887 by the German chemist Emil Fischer and was later re-synthesized in modern times by the Japanese chemist Takashi Nagase.
