2-Aminothiazole Hydrochloride is a dipeptidyl peptidase-IV inhibitor. It reversibly inhibits the activity of DPP-IV, which is involved in the degradation of peptides from the pro-inflammatory cytokine, leukotriene D4 (LTD4). 2-Aminothiazole hydrochloride has been shown to have therapeutic potential for the treatment of conjunctival inflammation and other allergic diseases. This drug also reduces nitric oxide levels in vivo in a rat model, suggesting that it may be useful for treating inflammatory diseases. 2-Aminothiazole hydrochloride is absorbed rapidly after oral administration and is excreted unchanged by the kidneys. It binds to plasma proteins with high affinity and penetrates into all tissues of the body. 2-Aminothiazole hydrochloride has been found to inhibit reversed-phase high performance liquid chromatography (RPHPLC) systems used in the analysis of pharmac
