1-AminopyrrolidineHydrochloride is a potent and selective inhibitor of the enzyme pim-1, which is involved in the signaling cascade that leads to the release of insulin. It has been shown to reduce blood glucose levels in animal models with diabetes mellitus type 1. 1-AminopyrrolidineHydrochloride belongs to the class of pharmacological heterocycles and has been shown to inhibit catalytic kinases such as protein kinase C and glycogen synthase kinase 3β. This inhibitor also reduces glucose production by inhibiting gluconeogenesis in liver cells.
