It can be prepared by the reaction of 3-aminophenol with 4-chloropropanol. The layered form of this compound crystallizes in the diacid class, which has a transition temperature of -59°C to -57°C. Thermoplastic polymers are made from 4-[3-(4-aminophenoxy)propoxy]aniline because it has a high viscosity at temperatures below 100°C. The magnetic properties of this compound are observed in magnetic resonance spectroscopy and diffraction studies.
