Description:
Sa2-aminoheptanoicacid is a gossypol derivative that has been studied as a potential treatment for choroidal neovascularization. It was shown to inhibit the uptake of iron oxides by quinoline derivatives in rat liver cells. Sa2-aminoheptanoicacid has been shown to have anti-proliferative, pro-apoptotic, and anti-inflammatory activities in cultured cells. Sa2-aminoheptanoicacid also inhibits insulin resistance and improves eye disorders in animal models.
