Description:
4-Amino-6-phenylpyrimidine is an isomeric compound that has been postulated to act as a diazine. However, the exact mechanism of its inhibitory effect is not yet known. 4-Amino-6-phenylpyrimidine inhibits the growth of bacteria by binding to the 3-bromoquinoline and nucleophilic attack on the amines and anions. The interaction causes a decrease in protein synthesis and cell division, leading to bacterial death.
