2-Aminodecanoic acid is an amide that has been shown to have hemolytic activity in animals. It also inhibits cell growth and has been shown to be a potent inhibitor of the growth factor for malignant cells. 2-Aminodecanoic acid is metabolized by the liver, although it does not undergo any significant hepatic metabolism.
