Description

2-Amino-N-isopropyl-acetamide is an epoxide with a viscosity of 0.07 cP at 25°C. It is a non-volatile, colorless liquid that has a boiling point of 132°C and a flashpoint of 54°C. The compound is not soluble in water but is soluble in glycerol, ether, and ethanol. 2-Amino-N-isopropyl-acetamide undergoes methylation to give 2-(2'-hydroxyethoxy)ethylamine. This product has been analyzed for its thermal characteristics using calorimetry and found to have an enthalpy change of -15.3 kJ/mol and entropy change of -102 J/(mol·K).
