3-Aminoadipicacid is an intermediate in the biosynthesis of lysine and threonine. It is synthesized by the amination of pyruvic acid by aspartate aminotransferase. 3-Aminoadipicacid has been shown to have a high yield and can be used to produce lysine, which is an important component of animal feed. 3-Aminoadipicacid also has a crucial role in cellular growth and maturation. It is found in all living organisms, including plants, animals, fungi, and bacteria. The interaction between 3-aminoadipicacid and nitrous oxide leads to a decrease in the filament population size (filaments are small cell structures that contain DNA). This interaction was shown to be dose dependent.
