6-(Aminomethyl)-6,11-dihydro-dibenzoazepine is an alkali metal salt of a dibenzazepine. It is used as a reagent to make other compounds. 6-(Aminomethyl)-6,11-dihydro-dibenzoazepine is prepared by the hydrogenation of 6-(aminomethyl)benzene-1,3-diol with potassium and potassium hydroxide in the presence of a catalyst such as dione or alcohol solvent. It can be used to make 2,3,4,5-tetrahydrobenzotriazole from 2,4,5-trihydroxybenzenesulfonic acid. This chemical compound has been shown to have antiinflammatory effects in rats by suppressing prostaglandin synthesis through inhibition of cyclooxygenase activity.
