Allyl2-oxocyclopentanecarboxylate is an organic compound that is synthesized by the intramolecular reaction of methyl ethyl ketone and acetone. The reaction system is a phosphonium salt, which acts as a catalyst. The product is then condensed with sodium carbonate to form the ammonium salt, toluene and methyl jasmonate. This compound has been shown to be reactive in hydrocarbon, ketones, and cyclic systems.
