Ramatroban is a cyclic tetrahydrocarbazole derivative. It has been used as an intermediate in the synthesis of ramatroban and other drugs. The reaction yield of the condensation reaction between acetaldehyde and phenylhydrazine is high, and the product can be obtained in good purity. Ramatroban was also prepared by a chiral synthesis method involving ketone reactant and acetal ether reactant.
