Product Information

Name:
5-(3-Aminoallyl)-2′-deoxyuridine 5′-triphosphate
Synonyms:
  • [(2R,3R,5R)-5-[5-(3-aminopropyl)-2,4-dioxo-pyrimidin-1-yl]-3-hydroxy-tetrahydrofuran-2-yl]methyl [hydroxy(phosphonooxy)phosphoryl] hydrogen phosphate
Description:

5-(3-Aminoallyl)-2′-deoxyuridine 5′-triphosphate is a fluorescent nucleotide analog that can be used as a probe for detecting hybridization. This chemical has been shown to be sensitive and specific for the detection of DNA sequences in the range of 10-1000 base pairs. 5-(3-Aminoallyl)-2′-deoxyuridine 5′-triphosphate is labeled with fluorescein, which can be detected using a microscope or spectrometer. The primary amines on this probe are attracted to the amines found in DNA and RNA, which results in hybridization. This probe is most efficient when it is bound to an immobilized target sequence on a solid support such as nitrocellulose or nylon membrane.
