2-Amino-4-cyanopyrimidine is a kinase inhibitor that inhibits the tumor cell cycle by binding to the ATP-binding site of the protein kinase. It has been shown to inhibit DNA synthesis and replication, as well as phosphorylation, in cells. 2-Amino-4-cyanopyrimidine is a trisubstituted thiazole that binds to ATP and prevents it from being released, which leads to inhibition of ATP synthase. This drug inhibits protein kinases and may also be used as a chemotherapeutic agent for cancer treatment.
