Product Information
3-Amino-7-hydroxy-2H-chromen-2-one (3AH) is a tyrosinase inhibitor that has been shown to inhibit tyrosinase activity in vitro. The inhibition of the enzyme tyrosinase by 3AH leads to a decreased production of melanin, which is responsible for the coloration of skin and hair. 3AH has been shown to be an effective treatment for hyperpigmentation, including melasma and postinflammatory hyperpigmentation. The mechanism of action is not well understood, but it may be due to its ability to inhibit the oxidation of dopamine and reduce the formation of reactive oxygen species.
