3-Aminophenylacetic acid methyl ester is a monomer for polymers and resins that belongs to the class of amides. This compound can be used as an amide or an ester and has been shown to form polymers with various backbones. 3-Aminophenylacetic acid methyl ester is fluorescent and shows a characteristic FTIR band at 1727 cm-1. Elemental analysis shows that this compound contains nitrogen (N), carbon (C), hydrogen (H) and oxygen (O).
