Product Information
5-Amino-3-methyl-1-phenyl-1H-pyrazole-4-carbonitrile (AMPCN) is a potent inhibitor of corrosion and adsorption, which may be due to its ability to form a hydrogen bond with the metal surface. It has been shown that AMPCN can inhibit corrosion and adsorption at temperatures as low as -40°C. This molecule has a molecular weight of 193.7 g/mol and FTIR spectrum peaks at 3300 cm(-1), 2900 cm(-1), 1680 cm(-1), 1630 cm(-1), 1510 cm(-1). AMPCN has been shown to be an efficient inhibitor for the interface between water and oil, which may be due to its hydrophobic properties.
