Product Information
- 2-Hydroxycyclohexylamine1,2-Aminocyclohexanol
2-Aminocyclohexanol is a chiral compound that has been shown to be an inhibitor of monoamine oxidase A. It can be used in the synthesis of enantiopure compounds and its two functional groups, a hydroxyl group and a fluorescence group, are useful for assays. 2-Aminocyclohexanol binds reversibly to the active site of monoamine oxidase A via hydrogen bonds. This product is also used as an animal model for depression and is synthetically produced.
