Description:

4-Acetoxyphenylboronic acid is a chemical compound that has been shown to be both stereoselective and efficient in the palladium-catalyzed synthesis of nitroarenes. In addition, it can be used as a precursor for the synthesis of other compounds. 4-Acetoxyphenylboronic acid can also be used as an efficient catalyst in multicomponent reactions. The high yields obtained with this compound are due to its ability to promote the formation of an active complex with palladium. This complex produces acetic acid by hydrolysis and undergoes hydrogenation, which reduces the need for expensive reducing agents such as silver. 4-Acetoxyphenylboronic acid is also effective in microwave irradiation because it reacts efficiently with microwaves and does not decompose easily.
