8-Aminonaphthalene-1,3,6-trisulphonic acid is a fluorescent probe that can be used to detect hydroxyl groups. It has high sensitivity and can be used for the analysis of water samples. 8-Aminonaphthalene-1,3,6-trisulphonic acid is also soluble in water and has a phase transition temperature of 99 degrees Celsius. This compound has been shown to bind with human serum albumin and xet activity. The binding constant between 8-aminonaphthalene-1,3,6-trisulphonic acid and human serum albumin is 0.34 mM/L at 25 degrees Celsius and pH 7.8.
