3-Amino-1,2,4-triazole-5-carboxylic acid hydrate is an inhibitor that inhibits corrosion in metal. Inhibition efficiency increases with the concentration of 3-amino-1,2,4-triazole-5 carboxylic acid hydrate. This compound also has a copolymerization effect on some polymers and can be used as a corrosion inhibitor for these types of materials.
