Description

Arachidonic acid is a type of omega-6 fatty acid that belongs to the class of eicosanoids. It is metabolized by cyclooxygenase and lipoxygenase, which are enzymes that synthesize this compound from arachidonic acid. Arachidonic acid is involved in the inflammatory response and can be used for the treatment of infectious diseases. This agent has been shown to be effective against bowel disease, as well as other diseases such as Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, and rheumatoid arthritis.
