4-Amino-1-tert-butyl-3-(2,3-dimethylbenzyl)pyrazolo[3,4-d]pyrimidine is an inhibitor of the tyrosine kinase activity of the JAK family. It has been shown to inhibit phagocytosis and degranulation in macrophages, as well as to inhibit the proliferation of hematopoietic cells. This drug also inhibits immune functions in mice and interferes with the pathogenesis of inflammatory diseases. 4-Amino-1-tert-butyl-3-(2,3-dimethylbenzyl)pyrazolo[3,4-d]pyrimidine is a potent inhibitor of hematopoietic cells that express JAKs.
