Product Information
ARS-1620 is a small molecule that inhibits cellular transformation and tumor growth. It has been shown to induce genetic ablation of cancer cells in mice. ARS-1620 binds to the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) and blocks its signaling, preventing the activation of downstream pathways that are involved in cell proliferation and survival. ARS-1620 also binds to other receptors such as the insulin-like growth factor 1 receptor (IGF1R) and the vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2 (VEGFR2). This compound has shown good pharmacokinetic properties in mice, which may be due to its low molecular weight. The binding affinity of ARS-1620 for these receptors has been studied using molecular modeling studies as well as titration calorimetry.
