A 68930 is a nicotinic acetylcholine receptor agonist that binds to the alpha subunit of the receptor, which results in activation of the receptor. A 68930 has been shown to be effective in treating autoimmune diseases and cancer. It also has been shown to be an effective treatment for symptoms of Parkinson's disease, such as tremor and rigidity. The mechanism of action is not fully understood but may involve activation of dopamine receptors or inhibition of dopamine reuptake by neurons. A 68930 is liposomal formulation and a molecule that potently activates the alpha-subunit of nicotinic acetylcholine receptors.
