- 4-Amino-2-methyl-1-butanol
4-Amino-2-methyl-1-butanol is a diastereomer of the natural product dihydrozeatin. It has been shown to regulate the optical rotation and organic solubility of the compound, as well as its reactivity with filtrate and tetrahydrofuran. 4-Amino-2-methyl-1-butanol is a molecule that can be found in medicines and endogenous molecules. It can be synthesized from 1,4 butanediol by substituting one of the hydroxyl groups with an amino group. This molecule is photolyzed in the presence of a derivatizing agent such as pyridine or chlorpromazine, resulting in photolabile products.
