Product Information

Name:
3-Amino-2,6-dichlorobenzonitrile
Description:

3-Amino-2,6-dichlorobenzonitrile is a ligand that binds to the extracellular domain of the human erythropoietin receptor (EPO). It has affinity constants of 6.8 nM and 8.5 nM with the monoclonal antibody and EPO respectively. 3-Amino-2,6-dichlorobenzonitrile has been shown to inhibit growth in bacterial cultures as well as plant cells, which may be due to its ability to bind to EPO receptors on the surface of bacteria or plant cells. It can also inhibit protein synthesis in bacterial cultures by binding to the ribosome. 3-Amino-2,6-dichlorobenzonitrile is fluorescent and chemically stable, making it an ideal candidate for use in plant physiology research. This ligand has been synthesized and purified for use in various assays.END>
