Description

Albaconazole is an antimicrobial agent that inhibits the growth of fungi by binding to ergosterol, which is a component of fungal cell membranes. Albaconazole has been shown to be effective against Candida glabrata and Cryptococcus neoformans, with minimal toxicity in vivo. It also shows anti-inflammatory properties in vitro and has been shown to have minimal toxicity in humans. Albaconazole has minimal drug interactions and can be used for the treatment of microbial infections. It also has pharmacokinetic properties that allow it to be administered orally or intravenously.
