Description:
2-Amino-3,4-dimethyl-3H-imidazo[4,5-f]quinoline is a heterocyclic compound that has been shown to be genotoxic in vitro. It has been used as a model system for the study of the genotoxic effects of DNA damage and carcinogenesis in mammalian cells. The stability of 2-amino-3,4-dimethyl-3H-imidazo[4,5-f]quinoline can be increased by complexing with a magnesium salt. This stable complex has been shown to be useful as an analytical tool.
