Product Information
- Methanesulfonothioic acid S-(3-amino-3-oxopropyl) esterMTSACE
2-(Aminocarbonyl)ethyl methanethiosulfonate is a nicotinic acetylcholine receptor activator that has been shown to inhibit potassium channels with an IC50 of 1.2 μM. This drug has been shown to be an allosteric modulator of the α7 nicotinic acetylcholine receptor, which is important in the transmission of nerve impulses, and may have cardiotonic effects. 2-(Aminocarbonyl)ethyl methanethiosulfonate also blocks α subunits of the nicotinic acetylcholine receptors, which may lead to blocking the cycle analysis and preventing the release of neurotransmitters such as acetylcholine.
